Integrated Vinyasa: Strength & Surrender

Exhale.

Integrated Vinyasa is a slow and intentional style of vinyasa that balances the solar (shiva) and lunar (shakti) energies within all of us. In our modern world of production, multi-tasking, and constant stimulation, Integrated Vinyasa invites us to slow down, breathe into the moment, and confront the mental resistance that arises in stillness.

Through intentional cuing that is aligned with seasonal and daily rhythms, Integrated Vinyasa will balance speed with slowness while cultivating fire in strength to burn through stagnant energy and stale narratives. Students will deepen their connection with their breath and embodied presence, rooting them firmly in the now.

It is here, in the present, where we can put aside our obligations, titles, stories, and judgments; it is here where we can connect with our true essence beyond society’s expectations. Integrated Vinyasa teaches us how to train our nervous systems that we are safe in times of stress and ease, giving us invaluable tools that help us show up as our full selves in the world around us. This practice goes far beyond the physical — it is an antidote to the modern world. To be regulated and grounded in your truth is an act of resistance.

Root & Rise’s yoga classes are open to all bodies and levels of experience. Our teachers will offer variations and options for props throughout class to meet you where you’re at today. You don’t need to be flexible, thin, strong, or athletic. You only need to show up with a willingness to be with yourself.

The Roots of Integrated Vinyasa™
Integrated Vinyasa is a style of yoga developed by Gina Caputo and the Colorado School of Yoga that blends dynamic movement with mindful stillness. It integrates physical, energetic, and philosophical aspects of yoga, encouraging students to explore balance between strength and ease, structure and freedom, effort and rest. With intelligent sequencing and an emphasis on breath, the practice cultivates embodied awareness and supports a sustainable, holistic relationship to yoga and life.
